The Bowery Gallery presents an online exhibition of paintings by gallery artists, on view July 1-26 at Artsy and also through the gallery’s own website, bowerygallery.org.

Each artist has contributed one work to the exhibition. While every work reflects the power of visual experience and a belief in painting and sculpture as living traditions, the selection embraces an intriguing variety of approaches.

The past months have seen a dramatic growth in online artist’s communities and the discussing and sharing of work. During its temporary closure Bowery contributes with a series of exhibitions and panels about the work of gallery artists and the artists they admire.

Bowery is currently hosting two panel discussions conducted by gallery artists Deborah Rosenthal, Nagib Nahas, John Goodrich and Simon Carr. The first panel, “Varieties of Landscape,” a discussion of painters admired by the panelists, can be viewed at https://youtu.be/HJKT1-MbrB0. The second panel, during which the artists will discuss their own work, will be available later in the month.

  1. This show was truly wonderful! The work fits the times. For me it showed the aloneness of the Covid 19 isolation done with color. Thank you
